reflections

umrit अमृत ~ organic ecological farming

profoundly, the food we eat becomes us. we eat on frequent basis, to empower ourselves.

food: gathered and transformed energy from many natural sources; sun, moon, air, water, soil and labor to further our function.

healthy soil enriches an individual's microbiome.

biodiversity is important, diverse living beings contribute to health and sustenance of resources for all life forms.

we grow ecologically, sustainable, organic nourishing foods by promoting good soil culture, and in endeavor to function within natural cycles, with least interruption towards these cycles, supporting and promoting biodiversity.

we reduce degenerative practices of soil disturbance. we are able to avoid synthetic applications (herbicides, pesticides, manufactured fertilizers). our efforts are to have thriving microbial life in the soil as soil microbiota is essential for healthy living.

we improve upon our practices, cultivating conducive formations, as these are meant to deliver key source to live and perform. nature includes every life form to maintain balance.

we all benefit from collective giving, intelligence and wisdom. together we live, prosper and inspire.

health benefits are realized as our sensory experiences (tanmatras) are enriched by our activities, including growing, harvesting, procuring, preparing, cooking, serving/offering, consuming and cleaning.

as many households should maintain heirloom seeds. seeds can be gathered, exchanged, passed around and down, as they bless us with growth, every household should consider growing, in a pot, in a yard, in a field. every household should consider composting.

food, traditions and culture are inseparable, one holds the other. let us continue to keep food at the center of all of our traditions, cultural and spiritual celebrations, as food brings us closer to each other and enhances comfort. we notice food imbibes every observation and celebration of life, threading generational memories, ensuring strong ties to traditions and culture. we cherish how we are served by our mother and grandmother and aunt's gentle touch.

we reap what we sow and tend, in a biodynamic environment we reap more than what we sow and tend, many a times in awe. as a human being, we draw more than what we can put back, so it becomes even more important for us to tend our intelligence, to put as much back in.

conservation is very important towards sustainability. every resource should be utilized for maximum benefits and stretched as far. we gain the joy of giving, sharing, saving and extending.

collectively we gain the wisdom, balance and harmonious well being.

let us, as cohabitants, be tirelessly unrelenting, towards betterment of the environment, for all habitants.

we are grateful for the support and well wishes we receive, as we gather and transform energies, through regeneration,

 life, simply, is blessing.
