ever wonder why science is exciting? maybe be because it is full of life! life that, happened, is happening and will happen. all of it is transformative and informing. we believe in science, farming is a effective way to practice science. we get to be part of many transformations.
every thing, living or non-living, needs energy to maintain or improve a state, also needs to hold energy for sustenance. good eco systems are very well balanced, no net gain, no net loss of energy. every thing in the ecology consumes, stores and excretes energy. while in a state, matter holds energy and upon death enriches the ecology. there is no energy spent on import export.
modern human society breaks the ecology and the cycles of ecology. energy travels many miles, to be consumed, to perform and upon demise, doesn't get returned to the place of origin. the breakdown in natural cycles necessitates imports and exports of energies, causing burden on ecology.
good many things are not located within the place of origin. the places of origins, production may feel the consequences of depletion, facing desertification.
population density demands huge energy imports. the imports in form of people, food, clothing, materials needed to live, to be entertained, to be healed and then material exported to maintain hygiene. concentration of matter becomes toxic and measures have to be put in place to remove toxicity.
it is tricky to balance production of an unit of energy. we have many opportunities to consume less energy to produce more energy.
it is critical we understand the need for equilibrium and act with conscience.
